Rode NT1A - Bass, Acoustic and Vocals

Hi guys.

I'm looking at getting a Rode NT1-A or similar in the next few months, for a bit of bedroom recording.

Anyone know how well these take to bass cabs, acoustic guitars and female vocals (Maybe some male too, but not from me) or is there anything in a similar price range that would be much better for these? I would get a better mic (EV RE-20 most likely) if i could afford it, but an apprentice's wage doesn't allow this sort of thing.

For vocals it is an awesome Microphone, Rode stuff is seriously under-rated/priced. I've used it for guitar/vocals and drum overheads and loved the sound every time.
