I don't like plastic picks, the sound is too artificial. I use rosewood picks for a dark tone and maple ones for brighter tone. Here's a pic:



I recently took delivery from a world-famous luthier of a two-sided pick, they're known to be able to reproduce double-thump technique even more accuratly than Wooten!

I forgot to mention, that pick will be bounded and will have real inlays! Nothing of thay sticker crap you see on e-bay!

Only a slightly serious note, I've tried some timbertone picks and they were actually great. Unfortunately I shredded them far too quickly

Following my pick GAS i',ve just pulled the trigger on one of these babies. The holes are carefully engineered to offer less air resistance wilst strumming thus making me play faster! I'll make some footage once they arrive.

I've seen reports of early versions inexplicably cutting out when digging in, although it seems this is only a problem when using two 4 stringers. A single 5 or 6 stringer seems to be ok. Check the revision number, or maybe ask over at TalkBass? I'm sure there's a wealth of experience over there...

I'm thinking of getting a pick to gig a few set songs with. My amp is 500w at 4 ohms - if I were to go for a blue 2mm pick, will the amp run at full power?
