RandomBass
Also be aware that the 450mm ones are actually only 236mm long. Just a heads up.
I hope the manufacturer clarifies this in their marketing blurb

Ghost_Bass
I don't like plastic picks, the sound is too artificial. I use rosewood picks for a dark tone and maple ones for brighter tone. Here's a pic: I recently took delivery from a world-famous luthier of a two-sided pick, they're known to be able to reproduce double-thump technique even more accuratly than Wooten! Ghost_Bass
I forgot to mention, that pick will be bounded and will have real inlays! Nothing of thay sticker crap you see on e-bay!
charic
Only a slightly serious note, I've tried some timbertone picks and they were actually great. Unfortunately I shredded them far too quickly

Ghost_Bass
Following my pick GAS i',ve just pulled the trigger on one of these babies. The holes are carefully engineered to offer less air resistance wilst strumming thus making me play faster! I'll make some footage once they arrive. Hobbayne
I got a solid silver one as a christmas pressie last year, with my name ingraved on it, however, as soon as I tried to play all the strings snapped!!

Big_Stu
I had a couple of pointy blue picks in my jeans pocket, my other half thought I'd forgot about them when she washed them - but it's my relicing technique - next stop Ebay!!! John Schoen
I want to get the pick sound but don't have a lot of money to spend. Do any of the pickenfakers come close to the original?

Blademan_98
Sadly, even though I have for such a pick, I cannot use one. I actually have a collection of these wonderful devices. All pristine condition.

twentyhertz
Are the blue pointy ones reliable? I'm gigging next week and need to know whether or not I should take a backup with me.
RandomBass
Are the blue pointy ones reliable? I'm gigging next week and need to know whether or not I should take a backup with me.
I've seen reports of early versions inexplicably cutting out when digging in, although it seems this is only a problem when using two 4 stringers. A single 5 or 6 stringer seems to be ok. Check the revision number, or maybe ask over at TalkBass? I'm sure there's a wealth of experience over there...

Salt on your Bass?
I'm thinking of getting a pick to gig a few set songs with. My amp is 500w at 4 ohms - if I were to go for a blue 2mm pick, will the amp run at full power?
