Rowley Birkin QC
I have a mex jazz bass deluxe which I have fallen in love with again after not playing for some time. However, there seems to be an issue with the treble/bass control pot. It intermittently drops out the highs making the sound quite muffled. Sometimes it comes back on its own, and other times a simple tweak of the control brings it back. I was, some time ago, considering installing a J-retro deluxe unit and now I've got a faulty control it's re-kindled my interest in one. This will, of course, solve the problem. Does anyone have any views/experience of this unit to share in order to assist in my decision?
Ou7shined
Sounds like a wee squirt of switch cleaner might be in order.
Rowley Birkin QC
Hmmm! Switch cleaner, circa £5, J-retro Deluxe £200+. I'm sure it's sound advice for which I thank you, and I'll give it a try........but will that satisfy my GAS? Oh the dilema!
