Ampeg PF 500 - just bought this stack

I bought my PF500 from there, good shop but very limited for bass considering the size of the place ???? just one tiny room to squeeze into if there are more than 3 people in it .
The PF500 is a great amp, love mine

The fan on the 350 isn't very loud at all, I don't even notice it.

Just bought a PF350 and PfF115HE from .................... Andertons. Recorded in the studio next day and had the same 'hot from the DI' issue mentioned earlier. That said, wonderful tone and suberbly portable. Highly recommended rig.

I think the number of us that have bought this Rig from Andertons (My PF-500 and 210HE/115HE came from there!) they should offer BC'ers a discount.. lol

Unhappy to report that the amp didn't work at rehearsal last night. Rear power light on but nothing from the front and no blue power light. Not great as this is it's second outing!! That said, Andertons have been great and will swap it without any quibble so full marks for after sales.

I'm afraid that I had a very bad experience with the PF-500 and wouldn't touch one. I could have been unlucky but there are a fair few similar tales on the Intraweb about problems - I know you often only hear about the bad stuff but I was very disappointed.

It went straight back and I moved over to GK

I've been wanting one of these for a while, but I heard about the reliability issues shortly after they came out. It's a shame to see they haven't resolved them yet.

So I think I'm going to pony up the difference and get the SVT-7 instead.
