Wanted: double bass up to £2500 *SORTED*

I'm looking for a quality used instrument. I don't need a bow or case and have enough sets of strings to keep me going for several years (I say this as having searched around for a while it seems that these three components can add a few hundred to the price of a bass in this price range). The characteristic I'm probably most interested in is projection/volume, and that I least care about is cosmetic condition!

One French and one [url="http://www.bonhams.com/eur/auction/16904/lot/342/"]German c1900 flatback[/url]

Having recently moved house he hasn't done anything with either and has decided to sell the German.

It has a big sound but will need some t.l.c.
