I kinda stumbled across these. Never heard of them before. I'm getting some serious GAS for one though!

Cass Lewis plays one, I always thought he played a MM Cutlass

I like the look of these, and some of the options available are quite sensible and aimed at sonic improvements or player preference.
Not cheap, though, and from the footage of Cass, difficult to say if that sort of tone couldn't be achieved in another way- It doesn't sound massively different to the tone he was getting using his ASAT.
Similarly, a Bongo with some DR FatBeams on it or a 'Ray with a Status neck and the right strings might well get close, too.
The use of Aluminium in instruments is not without precedent. The Tokai Talbo springs to mind as a close relative, and also the Travis Bean and Born 2 Rock (among others)
Definitely one to try before you buy, methinks. Pity they're in Italy :(

Oh dear. Yet another guitar manufacturer who's only vaguely original idea is to use a material other than wood for the body of the instrument. Everything else about these "designs" is tired and derivative. Plus they are in danger of being confused with the equally unimaginative Alumisonic...

If you want to see instruments made out of alternative materials that aren't simply copies of existing traditional designs then take a look at the work of: BassLab, Born To Rock, Electrical Guitar Company, Gus, Norton, Spalt to name but a few.

Agree unimaginitive but this still LOOKS pretty damn cool (sorry for skinny string content)

But it's ripping off Trussart ripping off Fender.

I'm going to make it my mission to find a quirky bass brand you don't know about!

In fact I'm going to dedicate a thread to it!

I'm poking about for the investment to make a Fender heel compatible alloy neck cause I think it would be cool and have the facilities to make it.

If you decide to ever do a 5-string neck please let me know. I have a suitably bonkers all metal body for it go on.

I'm thinking U channel with just the frets crossing it, and the truss rod exposed, kind of like a sitar, but a 5er would basically be dependent on the 4 string being successful, and its not even something I've done more than talk about with the relevant metalworker in passing.
