kingswampthing
For sale: Black Yamaha BB3000 bass. 4 string. Great bass, I bought from new in 1986, gigged and recorded with it for 5 years since then it's been sitting in it's hard case under the bed dreaming of the halcyon days. There is a bit of wear and tear on it, some distressing on the back from belt buckle (but this hasn't scratched through the paint work) also some metal blemishes on the bridge, pick up's and machine heads. This was a choice bass of Andy Rourke (the Smiths) Andy Goldie (Loveskip) and more recently Tony Kanal (No Doubt). It comes with the original hard case. Serial number LHHM111 made in JAPAN. I had a little bit of active circuitry put into it in 1987 hence the toggle switch being in a slightly different configuration as a point of interest this was put in by Mike Bryant of FLUKE! I'm looking to get £600 OVNO. Will supply more pics if you require as I accept these pictures aren't as detailed as they could be. Would prefer for it to be collected in person but could come to an arrangement to send it within the UK. Look forward to hearing from you. Narrow is slimmer and shallower.
To be honest I don't know - how can I find out?
Narrow version measures 39.6mm at the nut. Bobby K
Andy Rourke had a BB2000, sold it on eBay in 2003 I think... Bump for a great bass though mate!
noelk27
Like Tony Kanal. He mostly used a BB1600 and/or BB5000. He now uses a BB2024X and/or BB2025X.
