Dom in Dorset Posted March 24, 2013 Author Posted March 24, 2013
Thats a pain, I miss-read your post Thought you were stripping down and treating yourself for woodworm and soaking in wood hardener
Best not to take chances. Discreet - I'd recommend Mongolian death Worm poo: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mongolian_death_worm Quote

'Mongolian Death Worm' is a great metal band name, too. Quote
Dom in Dorset Posted March 24, 2013 Author Posted March 24, 2013 It's taken, several times over. Quote

Dom in Dorset Posted March 24, 2013 Author Posted March 24, 2013 I came up with "The Slotin Excursion" doesn't sound that metal but it refers to a fatal radiation accident that happened during the development of the atom bomb. It involved a plutonium sphere known as "The Demon Core" (at least one band called that) The Slotin Excursion isn't taken. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2G422z8pDn4 Quote

Dom in Dorset Posted March 24, 2013 Author Posted March 24, 2013 It's given me an idea, I could irradiate the bass to kill the woodworm. all i need is two subcritical masses of weapons grade plutonium. Quote
Dom in Dorset Posted June 1, 2013 Author Posted June 1, 2013 After playing it for a while I noticed several things: 1 the Wizard pickups don't have the va va voom I was after. 2 the neck is about as stable as a game of Jenga in zero gravity 3 The bloody woodworm is back. So , after stripping out the pickups (now on sale) the bass is quite literally on the wood pile. On the plus side I've come to the realization that the second prototype is a great bass, I'll stick with it for now. Quote
Myke Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 That's a shame I hope you didn't spend too much on it Quote
JimBobTTD Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Bummer...this looked interesting. Still, one experience the richer! Quote
Dom in Dorset Posted June 2, 2013 Author Posted June 2, 2013 I probably spent About £150, most of that is still re-usable parts. The wood will heat my house for an evening next winter (if the woodworm don't scoff the lot) I've learned an enormous amount, I've enjoyed the process and it ain't over just yet... Quote
