SweetPea1984
Hi there, my name is Sallie, I'm 27 and I'm a late bass bloomer! Great to meet you all! I've just started having lessons at a local music school, and I have a great teacher who has lots of experience as a bass player! Apart from a few clarinet lessons at school I am a complete beginner to music but bass guitar is what I've always wanted to learn - I love the sound of it and I grew up listening to Queen and watching John Deacon play. I would have learned a lot sooner but I just had zero confidence in myself, I still feel really nervous and totally not worthy lol. Anyway, I hope I can make some friends on this forum, build some confidence, get some advice and just learn, learn, learn!
KevB
Hi Sallie. I wasn't much younger than you when I first tried noodling around on bass and I didn't play proper gigs until I was well into my 30's so it's never too late to start! welcome aboard. RhysP
Welcome to the forum Sallie. I notice you have "Cats" listed in your interests column. There's a place for them here too in the forum cat lovers thread: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/168224-post-your-pusscat-pictures-here/page__hl__catshttp://basschat.co.uk/topic/168224-post-your-pusscat-pictures-here/page__hl__cats

chrismuzz
Alright Sallie I'm local too! It's never too late to start, and this forum is a great resource, ive learnt loads in the last year and a bit ive been here! Playing bass is great as generally the spotlight isn't on you (unless you want it to be!), so you can stand at the side of the stage quietly building your confidence
