shizznit
The only black bass I ever owned was a Jap Fender J 'Boner'. A local luthier replaced the scratchplate with a mirrored one. Very Steve Harris looking, but it looked the mutts nuts.
ShergoldSnickers
As a heavy metal fan, I like black instruments a lot, and my first student bass was indeed black, as is my new fretless and my upright. However, I also love natural and blue.
What a splendid trio. Very nice indeed those.
spinynorman
I only have Black. Even my natural Ripper was black when I bought it.
Cat Burrito
I also like Sonic Blue.
On a cat? Nah, tabby or tuxedo for me
JTUK
Have to say that black very very rarely works for me. I am trying to think of an example of that colour that I would accept, tbh. My next bass will be a sunburst over a nice grain of ash, tort plate, plus RW board with white binding and MoP blocks.
Evil Undead
I also like Sonic Blue.
Oh man. That Precision looks incredible. My favourite colour for a bass is white for Precision and Jazz, black for everything else really. I also like LPB. Oh, and I'm a huge fan of maple fretboards. Townes1992
I have a red p-bass (copy), with a black scratchplate and the colour has really grown on me, though i dont think i'd go for such a bright colour in the future. Next bass I buy has to be Sunburst!

CBbass
Black Burst on G&L's is the sex, I also love tobaccos. Some colours like pelham blue, burgundy mist, daphne blue, blonde are nice though
TomRichards
What do you think about "reverse bursts"? Kubicki used to feature them, dark blue or dark color in center, fading toward the edges.
EssentialTension
Olympic white - but I can live with most colours as long as it doesn't look like a coffee table and isn't blue.

Looked pretty cool.
