Does anyone know of any musicians in the Truro or general Cornwall area who would be happy for me to come along and join them for a jam, have some fun and better my skills, with a view to eventually joining or forming a band, please?

Maybe even just someone with an acoustic guitar who sings who fancies a get-together?

There are a few jam nights around Truro that are a really good place to learn a few tricks, get some practice, and most importantly, meet some people who may want to get a band together.

The King William IV in Truro has a full-on one on Wednesdays. I go to one at the MMI Bar (Miners & Mechanics) in St Agnes, also on Weds - it's a bit more relaxed (semi acoustic), not so many egos and shredders

There's another low-key one at the Britannia in Chacewater on Mondays.

Further afield, there's one at the Bowgie Inn, Crantock, on Thursdays run by the same guy who does the King William
