LukeFRC Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012
John always seems to have the basses that are just that little bit out of the norm yet incredibly desirable. ive been floored by both his current offerings. Have a bump just for the 'porn' value. This Parker is possibly the nicest bass ive seen in many moons! Col
If it helps John is a gentleman and great to buy/sell with. I think you should buy it

LukeFRC Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 they do look so odd. Then you see a shot of someone playing one and it makes more sense
Rick's Fine '52 Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 Despite other comments remarking that the price is hard to find in the description, I still can't find it???
No price as I'm basically looking for trades. You probably know from experience that when you put a realistic cash 'buy me' value on something people then come in with their "my bass cost £[same value as cash price] new so I'll do you a swap". martthebass Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 I keep coming back to this but the only bass I have that fits your weight requirements is my trusty old Status and I'd miss it too much....The PF's a lovely bass tho, surely shouldn't hang around too long.

Eljay Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 From the moment the Parker FLY came out I was enthralled. Insanely cool basses, and US-Made Parkers are custom-shop quality all the way. I've never seen a 'burst one like yours; they were here in Red and a natural quilt IIRC, but obviously other finishes were done. THAT is a killer bass. 2X, I've seen US Fly's come up for sale on E-Bay, rarely from a private party as there weren't many built, and owners prolly hang on to 'em. My understanding is Parker had issues with the first runs, then fixed that, and there life-span was brief, before they went offshore, which tho playble, are no where near the US-made lots. Now, they intro'd the Maxx Fly, but that's gonna be a rare bird at the cost etc. I'd love that bass, it'd rock like a mutha, I know all about it. Can't imagine how an overseas trade might work, plus although I have some MAJOR killer basses (23) all fretted-fours- each one is "my wife" all different all awesome. If you wind up "having to" hold onto that bass- You'll be good!
