woodyratm
Hi guys, Thought I'd be better asking this here. I have one of the above but it's been humming and buzzing majorly, I kinda just want to try a proper 12v 1200mA one and see what like. Anyone know which to get? Or does anyone have one I could borrow and see if it works? Dave
Kirky
DHA did recommend a particular one in another thread recently. I bought one and it made a great difference to my Compressor. I'll try to find the thread. Here it is http://basschat.co.u...ost__p__1521984 This is the power supply: http://www.rapidonli...aspx?kw=85-3112 Edited March 8, 2012 by Kirky
paul_5
A decent PSU is vital to getting thee pedals to deliver the best possible sound. I ran mine from a TFT monitor power supply and it sounded incredible - that's the trick with valve kit, give it clean juice and you've cracked it. RichF
Dave is clear about the importance of a proper PSU. Any skimping on quality and my DHA VT2 (which Paul5 went on to get) would react very badly. As Paul5 says give it clean juice and it's silent.
Musky
I seem to remember Dave saying that if you use a switching PSU you should plug into the effect before switching on the power, Apparently it can cause noise issues if you don't.
paul_5
Switch-mode transformers have always been problematic for me - give me a big ol' hunk of metal everytime.
