Website Awkward - How to "Get Out" of a topic you are viewing

Good evening,

Since the site has changed, I constantly have a problem getting back out of say looking at a particular item for sale to the general "for sale" listings.

I used to use one click of the mouse on the "back" arrow - but now it takes tow or three (or more) and then you go back two or three pages or to the "Hom" section.

I'm probably doing it incorrectly - but how ARE you supposed to navigate around please?

Weird one. You could always click on the links at the top and bottom of the page (just below the tabs at the top of the page and the corresponding spot at the bottom).

I had this problem. Its something to do with 'googleads'. If you hover over the back button the pop up should show a link with that name in it. Mine was sorted when I reformated my comp. I didnt do it because of that though! Unfortunatley I dont know how you can cure it. Deleting cookies etc doesnt cure it. At least you now know why :)

EDIT: A work around is to right click on the thread you want to read and 'Open in new tab'. That way you just close the tab down when finished and your back at the original page :D

Either that or click with the scroll wheel, just saves a few clicks and is much easier.

You can also click and hold the back button (in Chrome, anyway) which will then show a drop-down menu of your recent history.

This is also the same in the latest version of Firefox, not sure about the earlier ones.

This. I never navigate away from the main index - just open a few new tabs on topics I want to read and close them when done.

Thanks for all the advice guys,

I've tried the "Open in New Tab" - that does it - and yes, I get the "Googleads" thing if i hover over the back button - not going to reformat my PC though to sort it - LOL.

Cheers,
