Leetav
Hey all, had a gig last night with my newly acquired mk500 ashdown amp. Just a question, is it normal for the sound to cut in and out, (coming back on after about 20-30 secs) assuming that it's a feature to stop it blowing? Or could it be that the amp got too hot as the fans may have not had enough space behind the amp? Once I figured that I should take the input down slightly, it didn't do it anymore, but if anyone could tell me that it's supposed to happen, i'll be happy :/ any help much appreciated Lee

[/quote] The Ashdown has a thermal cutout that automatically resets itself, so not leaving enough ventilation space around the back of the amp would definately be my first suspicion based on your description of events.
