alanbass1
Thanks for the kind words and yes it is a real nice bass. I would also consider a nice fretless in trade or sell for £1100

Bass Culture
Just seen what this went for. That price was an absolute steal - someone has got themselves the best bargain I've seen for ages. Congratulations to them but the seller must be more than a little gutted.

GreeneKing
Makes you think doesn't it. If this bass had've been closer I may have traded my Deluxe Jazz plus some cash for it and I wouldn't let my jazz go for less than £800. Peter
alanbass1
Yep, you live and learn. To be honest I have got some great deals from e-bay in the past without thinking about the seller. Also, that's life and I really thought that a bass of that quality would attract higher bids - there were 64 watchers! A number of people e-mailed me after the auction and one person wanted me not to go through offering 750 if I pulled out and sold direct to them! Can't understand why they didn't just bid and I'm not one for breaking trust. Anyhow, it's done and move on. I doubt if I will play the 'free market' game again on e-bay and put a decent reserve on next time. Thinking of moving my Alembc Mark King bass and I won't make the same mistake with that one! I was kicking myself for not having gone a lot higher - as others sound as though they did too - but I would have had to do some serious talking to the bank if I'd won at much more! I'm sorry I didn't thave the testicles to take the plunge as I've never played a Zoot I didn't like. Mind you, as it was the wife's birthday this weekend I don't think my credit card would have taken too kindly to it either.

bass_ferret
There are always people looking out for cheap stuff they can sell at a profit. The seller is giving the impression he has had it from new. Could also be a scammer using old photo's from the previous auction.
Kev
na, its him, i emailed him askin him if it was the same bass, and telling him that theres a reason it sold cheap, the market is on its arse and you probably wont get the profit your after he replied simply 'thanks'
RayFW
What did you expect him to say? "Yes, you're right I will withdraw it at once. Thank you for the very valuable service you are providing to the ebay community." I'm surprised he didn't tell you to f off.
Kev
it was actually in a helpful form, because nobody will bid on it at that price, and to confirm it was actually the same bass and not a coincedence chill man Edited July 18, 2008 by BassManKev
