Ghost Rider
Well hes taken Tokai out of the title and mentions that it may not be tokai ....so now it just says Jazz bass so I doubt anyone looking for a tokai will give it a 2nd look.....I very much doubt he will get anywhere near the £195 starting price now ...he claims he thinks its a tokai but I seriously doubt he really believes it...well done guys!
Aye, Good News! We got there in the end... If you throw enough emails at eBay about the same item it may just work (For Once) ! If it does not sell it may make a nice coffee table Edited March 14, 2012 by Ghost Rider
Jerry_B
AFAIK, if it was a Tokai it would have some numbers on the body end of the neck...
Ou7shined
Please note: this instrument was sold to me as manufactured by Tokai and I have no reason to doubt this however the change of neck makes it difficult to verify... Really? So all the emails and the fact that it says Vintage under the decal aren't big enough clues? ... I don't want to unintentionally mislead anyone... No, you want to intentionally mislead them.

In addition, with 70s, 80s and 90s MIJ Tokai models, a series of production codes would be written in the neck pocket and on the butt of the neck. It would be very easy for any experienced Tokai collector to identify correct codes. As far as the listing goes, the headstock is the wrong size/proportions to be Tokai, and the route for the neck pickup is unlike anything I've seen on a Tokai body. Jerry_B
Yep, the production codes was what I was thinking of!
