Anyone noticed that Thomann are stocking Joyo units and flogging them under the Harley Benton tag.

I remember noticing that before, and seemed to recall Thomann deleted their OCD clone when the original Freakish Blues fuss blew up. They seem to have it back now though.

And the quality is obviously far superior to the Joyo pedals: check the spelling of "voice" on their character pedal clones: clearly the Germans can spell better than the Chinese! :D

Yeah, they've had them up there for ages - prices don't seem any different to the Joyo ones, although I've seen stores selling the Valco branded ones for almost double the usual.

I think most of the Harley Benton stuff is rebadged old stock / end of line from other manufacturers. For instance they had a small bass amp on there a while ago which looked suspiciously like the old Roland bass cube just after the new Roland Bass Cube was launched, exact same specs except the amp modeller was replaced with some FX.

I have a proper Tubescreamer and the Joyo.

At full output the Joyo is a tiny bit quieter. That's it. Same sound, same tone same wonderful hammering of an already driven guitar amp. And for £30.

Can't go wrong.
