Hi the Cab has gone to a new home, just the Ashdown ABM Evo ll 500 to go.

I have owned it from new and is in immaculate condition I am looking for[s] £325[/s] £300 .

I will also consider a Trade for a Combo suitable for rehearsals and small gigs as a backup must be fairly lightweight though or I am also looking for an effects unit such as Boss ME-50b or Line 6 Pro live type thing,

Below is the Blurb:

Ashdown ABM

The ABM 500 EVO II is a 575 watts RMS bass amp head designed to satisfy both bass-purists and tech-heads alike. Three straightforward rotary tone controls provide 20dB of cut and boost at 60Hz, 660Hz and 5kHz, and are supplemented by two pairs of additional sliders giving 15dB cut and boost at 180Hz, 340Hz, 1.3kHz and 2.6kHz. The EQ can be switched in/out, and flat/shaped by footswitch, enabling players to go from a flat fretless sound to a boosted sound via a favorite EQ setting.

A single input is switchable for passive and active instruments with a blend of solid state and dual triode tube preamps stages which can be preset and selected by footswitch, providing access to a massive range of clean, warm and overdriven tones. Also footswitchable is the mighty Ashdown sub-harmonic generator which precisely tracks the main signal and reproduces it an octave lower. A sub-harmonic level control enables the player to add just the right amount of low-end reinforcement - everything from a subtle, thickening of the sound to unbridled, bone crushing tone.

The ABM 500 EVO II features a front-panel mounted balanced DI out with pre or post EQ switching, a sub-bass output, a tuner output, an FX loop and a line input for the connection of an external sampler or sound source. Output muting cuts the signal from the DI output but leaves the tuner output 'live', allowing the player to tune up in silence. A new upgraded power section has faster transient attack, more headroom and even less noise.

Thanks for looking
John

Used to have one of these amps, discountinued now but if you find reviews on them their usually 9-10 out of 10!
They have such a wide range of tones, and they really know how to handle low notes, my band uses drop A tuning and my one of these just kicked it out!

Great price and great amp

Good luck with the sale

Any interest in swapping the head for a Peavey BAM210 combo? I need a spare head for gigging.

350watts on its own and 500watts with an extension cab. 2x10 speakers, its a modelling amp with various amp and speaker settings (and actually sounds authentic - especially the SVT), 16 presets and 16 user programmable patches, tuner, digital multi effects built in, compressor and a tilt back handle trolley thingy for lugging it about.
I believe they retailed for £1200 a few years ago and because of this are super rare. Google it and you'll find nothing but praise for them. Downside is it weighs a ton.
