This is more a curiosity question than anything. I don't know, I just enjoy hearing about what equipment different players, and why they use it.

So yeah, fire away, what equipment do you use? Amps, guitars, effects, anything!

If anyone actually cares, here's my bass and my amp.

The first amp I ever owned was a Laney just like the one in your photo. I attached castors to the bottom and took it to gigs on the bus. Sounded really awful.

I played through a Laney combo at a practice a few weeks ago, that sounded awful however much I twiddled the eq.

There's a lot of people like yourself who list the gear they use in the signatures so a browse through a selection of threads in this forum and the general Bass Guitars forum should reveal plenty.

However I have something which IMO is far important in my sig - a link to my music.

Yeah, but what did it sound like after you got off the bus? :D

Ugh, this sounds a bit "holier than thou" :(

I have both, for what it's worth. I guess that just means I take up an annoying amount of space. With that in mind, have a font size reduction and losing one line :)

I'm pretty much endorsed by Bic. They're me biro of choice.

I get the really cheap 10 pack of biros in tesco, I want to use them for a while before I buy something decent like Bic. Do Bik have a budget brand they make in china? I could buy the budget one and upgrade it gradually.

The modern combos sound like paper. I use a 20-something year old head and 1x15 cab by them which sounds immense though.

10? That it? I got a pack of 50 from tesco the other month! :D (own brand, none of this posho "bic" business)

I wouldn't recommend it mate. My mate had a Chinese made biro and the fit was awful. My Bic was made in France, and I'm really glad I made the step up. The action is very smooth.

I've got a couple of Behringer Biros They're alright for now, until I can afford something better, and they seem to break every time I step on them.

I thought I'd go for trusty and reliable so went for some Peavey Biros. But like with most things Peavey they weigh a bloody tonne. It causes great mirth at work as I walk along slouched to one side trying to counter the weight of my pens stuffed into my shirt pocket. And my back.....

Biro? Pfft, I use a vintage Fender quill and inkpot. They got it right the first time. A bit roadworn but not too bad for an all-original - besides it has that unmistakeable classic vintage Fender output.

Don't try to fix what isn't broken! ;)

Edit: Oh yeah on topic!
I use a Warwick 5-string $$ Corvette, a cable that works and a soon-to-arrive Matamp hybrid head and 1x12 cab
Plus an old Eko SG with '70s Gibson humbuckers and Bigsby into a poor little Fender Sidekick Reverb :)

That Squire Jazz you have looks ace, a friend of mine has one and it sounds/plays amazing!

Yeah, back to the OP my stuff is something like this: Blade B15 and 'vaJazzle' fretless, Sansamp BDDI -> Ampeg SVP1500 -> Hartke Hydrive 410. There's a few effects in the middle, but they're in a perpetual state of ebb and flow. Generally there's a couple of distortions/fuzzes, octave, chorus, filter etc...
