This 4-string bass guitar excels in four different traits: playability, sound, looks and even in the retail selling price. Such an incredibly great instrument is rarely found in the pricing range of 600 Euros and lower. But with the Sandberg Electra your search might have come to an end. The components are the very same of the California series, meaning you get an alder body with a 6-fold bolt-on maple neck and Sandberg hardware. The satin tobacco burst finished body is a joy for your eyes - and since the lacquer is applied in a very thin layer there are no restrictions in wood vibrations. The black pickguard absolutely fits the other colours and features a new shape. An active-driven split coil makes for solid bass sounds and warm mids, which can be adjusted according to your individual needs, due to a 2-band EQ. The extraordinary and very convenient feature is the active/passive switch, releasing you from the concerns if your battery still has enough power inside. The Sandberg bass arrives in a Sandberg gigbag.

Looks really nice. Always fancied a Sandberg and for Mexican P bass price range looks like a winner.

Saw this on Thomann a couple of weeks ago before it was available. Really like the look of it.
If anyone buys one will you let us know what it's like.
Looks too good to be true.

Hot damn. I do love the look of Sandbergs, there's just something about those chunky pickups. And for that price? I certainly have a lot of thinking to do about which bass I'm buying next. As if the decision wasn't hard enough already.

They are cheap because they are made in Korea, there you go another good company moving production to the far east

Wood is wood, metal is metal. Assembled in Germany. Love it!

Looks great, even like the sunburst ;) And I own several basses and guitars made in Korea, all are excellent in quality, sound and playability - so no concerns there ...

But just never could get to like the Sandberg necks - pity!

The finish looks nice but to me the pickup and the scratchplate look dull and cheap...

Saying that I'm thinking the same about the rosewood and the headstock looks anaemic..

Not for me then
