Bungie Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 (edited) Hi Folks, Update: I've had lots of offers, but nothing that has come to fruition yet. Looking to trade as below or alternatively sell for £700. I'm looking to trade my mint 2002 American Hotrod Precision for an American jazz or similar. It's the passive P/J pickup version only made for a few years around 2000. Lovely sunburst finish, tort scratch plate with rosewood board, and it's in as new condition. Guitar and OHSC are unmarked. It simply never gets played, so it's time to swap it. I'm looking for a USA Jazz or something of similar quality. http://imageevent.co...specialpj2010ex Pics of the actual bass here from the original seller (note: For some reason the pics describe it as a 2010 bass, but it is a 2002) I'm York based. If interested drop me a mail to "] or phone 07802 294916. Cheers Edited April 15, 2012 by Bungie
Jack Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 Hi Bungie welcome to basschat! Pictures always help, especially if you're new. Good luck with the sale mate.
fluffo Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 I have an ESP Series 400 NYC 88 custom shop Jazz bass with John east retro preamp with EMGs
Bungie Posted April 10, 2012 Author Posted April 10, 2012 Hi Folks, Apologies to the various of you who have PM'd me about the bass and to whom I haven't replied. I've only just learnt how to use the message board! Anyway replies now sent to you all. Fluffo, sorry looking for something a bit more mainstream. Quatsmacher, Nut width is 41mm. It's quite a slim neck for P which is what attracted me to it in the first place, but then I never played it! Doh!
gareth Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012
fiesta red jv squier?
jazz
fluffo Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 Shame as there is not a better Jazz Bass out there especially with the colour matched headstock and is basically a 62 reissue, ESP used to make necks for fender
dodgnofski Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Can't recommend these enough - they do everything a Precision can + the growl of the Jazz p/u when needed - one of the few that I really miss - type bump!!
Sibob Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 ARGH, I have a 2003 USA Jazz that I've often thought about trading for a Hotrod P......but it's a lovely bass.....so torn lol Si

Jazz width nuts only for me from now on! Best of luck with the sale.
kolossusuk Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 What about stepping up to a 5 string LP Bass? http://basschat.co.uk/topic/169481-fs-1996-gibson-les-paul-special-5-string-bass-sunburst/
Bungie Posted April 14, 2012 Author Posted April 14, 2012 If only it had four strings, I'd have snapped your hand off!
