pluckedout Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 (edited) In over 20 years of buying and selling guitars I have never seen another one of these; it was featured in the Yamaha catalogue in 1985 (http://brochures.yok...5/en_index.html) and was only available for a matter of months. Through neck construction, ebony fingerboard and the 2 best coil-tappable humbuckers Yamaha ever made - no idea why these didn't continue. The original push-push knobs have been replaced with push-pull ones as they wouldn't stay in the down position (a common fault with push-push knobs). The original knobs are included though if you fancy trying to fix them. Bass is in amazing condition, 9/10 I would say - just a few minor marks which are impossible to photograph. Plays really well and has a superb sound - all passive, real thump to it with the humbuckers, very little fretwear. Will come with a tribal planet gigbag - would really prefer meeting up to hand over the bass but will ship if absolutely necessary. Looking for £600 for this rare beast. gary mac Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 I'm not in the market for one at the mo but that it is really nice. Still miss my BB1200 from the same era. A good luck with your sale bump
