SOLD: exceedingly rare vintage Yamaha BB1300 through neck

In over 20 years of buying and selling guitars I have never seen another one of these; it was featured in the Yamaha catalogue in 1985 (http://brochures.yok...5/en_index.html) and was only available for a matter of months.

Through neck construction, ebony fingerboard and the 2 best coil-tappable humbuckers Yamaha ever made - no idea why these didn't continue. The original push-push knobs have been replaced with push-pull ones as they wouldn't stay in the down position (a common fault with push-push knobs). The original knobs are included though if you fancy trying to fix them.

Bass is in amazing condition, 9/10 I would say - just a few minor marks which are impossible to photograph. Plays really well and has a superb sound - all passive, real thump to it with the humbuckers, very little fretwear.

Will come with a tribal planet gigbag - would really prefer meeting up to hand over the bass but will ship if absolutely necessary.

Looking for £600 for this rare beast.

Maybe. And maybe I'm no longer disappointed about missing out on that eBay BB1200 last week ;-)
