pluckedout Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 (edited) Great condition, few scratches but nothing serious, full working order. Sounds great and works really well with the Schroder cab I'm selling. [s]£250[/s] £225 + postage which I estimate to be £20. Alternatively you can pick up from Salisbury or I can meet anywhere along the M3 or A34, or anywhere within 60 miles of Salisbury. Edited April 30, 2012 by pluckedout
Al Heeley Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 so very temped, thats 2 x 8ohm speaker outs on the back...i have a peavey tour 450 head at the moment but i much prefer the sound of the trace cab at the practice rooms, the peavey should be more power but the trace sounds equally loud with more presence, more definition. I need to know if it will allow a bit more volume without overstretching it.
Thor Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 I had one of these - absolutely bulletproof! Bump for a nice amp head.
pluckedout Posted March 22, 2012 Author Posted March 22, 2012 In terms of weight, it's a (definitely bulletproof but not unmanageable) 8.7 kg according to the bathroom scales. As ever quality isn't lightweight...
pluckedout Posted March 22, 2012 Author Posted March 22, 2012 And in reply to Al, you'd be welcome to try it out if you're local - it is a very well defined sound.
Al Heeley Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 sorry, if i was closer, i'd be over in a shot, but i'm up near leeds. I need to understand if its my speaker cabs (Hartke 4x10) or the peavey head that are limiting the overall volume, I am concerned about steppiung down to a less powerful head.
Do you know if this can run just a single 4 OHM cab, I'm figuring that plugging in 2 x 8ohm takes it to its lowest ohmage, therefore 1 x 4ohm cab into one speaker jack should be ok? Anyone? Think you answered that question with the Schroeder cab up for sale! Edited March 22, 2012 by jembullo
pluckedout Posted March 22, 2012 Author Posted March 22, 2012 Hi Yes that would work fine, I've been using this with my 4 ohm Schroeder cab (also for sale) with no problems.
pluckedout Posted March 24, 2012 Author Posted March 24, 2012 some interest but still currently here...
