sgh
The M-Audio is a few years old, maybe I'd be better of with an Apogee Jam ?
RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE
I plug my bass onto toneport ux1, which does work with logic/garageband etc. I have m audio oxygn keyboard, but mever thought about plugging the bass onto it. urb
The only thing that springs to mind is you may need to update the software for the M-Audio unit - try searching out 'drivers' for your soundcard model - M-Audio will probably have some free software downloads on their website - if that fails then a new soundcard might be necessary - Apogee is very good but a bit pricey - let me know how you get on. lowdown
If its an old unit, you might need to update the drivers for your OS. sgh
Thanks guys will try the software update root. If that fails I might go the £80 apogee path, the website says its compatible with Logic Pro, so hopefully I can get something working one way or tuther. spinynorman
I've got an M-Audio FastTrack USB which came with ProTools Essentials. What I've found is there's no bass guitar volume worth speaking of unless you use an amp or preamp between the bass and the FastTrack. I since looked at reviews on Amazon and it's a common complaint. I've also used it with Audacity and it makes no difference. I'm now looking for a bass to PC soundcard interface that actually works. sgh
Tried the software update route but still no joy, so apart from the apogee jam, any recommendations for an interface so I can plug my bass in for under say £200 ?
