spinynorman
After my wife threatened divorce if our 50-something bloke band played "Good Morning Little Schoolgirl", I wondered if there are other songs we can't play any more? The argument that it's a great riff cut no ice.
RhysP
I would have thought the Gary Glitter back catalogue is a bit of a no-no these days.
Judo Chop
Anything by Gary Glitter, and Spasticus Autisticus by Ian Dury and the Blockheads. I was listening to that one last night and wondering the same thing.

Bilbo
After 40, any rock/pop music Seriously, though, I think there is always the potential for old rockers to look a bit 'sad' if they overdo the teenage angst angle of rock and roll. I guess its about learning to grow old gracefully.

RhysP
I've always thought "Claire" by Gilbert O Sullivan and "Save your kisses for me" by Brotherhood of Man were a bit dodgy - "Even though you're only three" ???!!!

essexbasscat
We were rehearsing 'Getting Better' by the Beatles this week. Lyrics; - "I used to be cruel to my woman I beat her and kept her apart from the things that she loved. Man I was mean but I'm changing my scene and I'm doing the best that I can" It was a different world then.

At my age, theres loads of standards I wouldnt want to play for one reason and another. But they are just songs really arent they. Nobodys mentioned Memphis by Chuck Berry...Often wondered whether it was meant as a dig at Jerry Lee. And why Elvis never got slated in a similar way for moving 14 year old Priscilla in to live with him.
BottomE
We had to learn Frank Valli "My Eyes Adored You" for a first dance at a wedding. On examination the lyrics are a bit weird, especially for a first dance. "My eyes adored ya Like a million miles away from me you couldn't see how I adored ya So close, so close and yet so far" slightly pervy?
