steve-soar
Thinking of getting one of these. http://www.eastwoodguitars.com/ Airline Map bass, in black, left handed. (3rd bass from the bottom). I've never played a 30.5" scale bass but I'll obviously try one before I buy one. Does anyone own/play one of these and how do they sound, balance, play, etc. Any help or thoughts would be great. Ta. Steve. Edited March 25, 2012 by steve-soar
Icarus_147
Don't know a whole lot about them myself, but Ed Friedland has reviewed one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5rOun38Ehk
BigRedX
Bassist in a Nottingham band that we sometime play with has one. Sounds OK but the output is really low compared with my basses - I normally have to turn the gain and volume right up for him if he uses my rig. tredders
I've looked at these in the past, especially after watching Ed's review. Steve - have you found a source in the UK, or are you looking at ordering direct? Cheers Mark.
steve-soar
Hi Mark. I would really need to try one before buying. Change in scale length and as BRX pointed out, low output, balance issues need to be ascertained. You can get them from Eastwood UK but I'd love to find a shop near to me (Liverpool) that has one to try.
