Silvia Bluejay Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 (edited) I think that some - or all? - posts on the forum have the wrong time, i.e. they aren't on BST yet. Testing to see what this post will say. The clock on my wall reads 13:55. Edit: yes - the timestamp on here still reads 12:55. Edited March 26, 2012 by bluejay Quote
Silvia Bluejay Posted March 26, 2012 Author Posted March 26, 2012 The email notification I received when you posted is correctly timestamped 14:37, but I see 01:37 PM as the time on your post above. Strange... Quote

pantherairsoft Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Click on your name at the top of screen and then settings - There are some options for time settings. Possible that you don't have it set to change when the clocks changed at the weekend? Mines fine like Charic... Quote

Silvia Bluejay Posted March 26, 2012 Author Posted March 26, 2012 (edited) Yes, thank you Panther, you're correct... I had "DST" unticked. But incidentally, shouldn't it actually be "BST"? What does DST stand for (excuse my ignorance)? Edited March 26, 2012 by bluejay Quote

pete.young Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 (edited) BST is Bangladesh Standard Time. At least, as far as Sun Microsystems were concerned. I've noticed this before when not logged in. Might have been on the old forum though. Edited April 2, 2012 by pete.young Quote
Silvia Bluejay Posted April 2, 2012 Author Posted April 2, 2012 On another forum I'm a member of, there is a one hour difference in the clock, depending on whether you're logged in or not. That is apparently caused by the hosting server being in a different time zone. The users can't change the setting through their own preferences, and their only option, if they want to see the correct time, is to log in. No big deal, obviously, just a bit weird. Quote

Silvia Bluejay Posted April 11, 2012 Author Posted April 11, 2012 Yup - as a non-admin member, you click on your name at the top right hand corner of the screen and choose My Settings. Thank you all for your help! Quote
