Left/right handed... 2/3 band... if nothing else learn to string the G correctly!

It may well be a genuine sale, just because he/she has cut and pasted generic info into their thread and they are a brand new user doesn't make it a dodgy bass but... nobody, not ever... should ever wind the G string that way on a Stingray bass! :lol:

Re winding the string the wrong way. It`s almost as annoying as people who leave the un-trimmed ends of the string hanging out, mostly on guitars but I have seen it on a few basses. Or people who don`t put the end of the string down into the hole on the tuner peg :angry:

I always leave a nice long end on my guitar strings hanging out, means i can tie them back together when they break at the bridge end. It's my guitar I can do what I like with it :P

I do the same (an old buskers' trick, taught me by an old busker). I do coil them up neatly though as otherwise Mrs Zero might get an eyeful of guitar string ends and she wouldn't like that.
