bassicinstinct
I played a gig once where backline was provided and it was one of these.... they get flipping hot don't they?
Can't deny that. Always handy for a post gig all day breakfast before the long drive home. That's pretty much why I stripped the outer casing off mine. It still gets warm, but at least it cools down relatively quickly once it's switched off. I have heard of people using external fans for this unit, but that all sounds like a bit of a palaver to me. markstuk
I've never heard any fan noise from my TC RH450.. And even after a gig playing at 50% into a 4 ohm load it's slightly warm to the touch..
risingson
No noticeable problems with my TC RH750. The fan comes on but it is incredibly quiet. Not tested it out in the studio just yet.
ezbass
My PJB Cub is silent, I don't know if their bigger amps have fans.
REDLAWMAN
My Littlemark III is absolutely silent.
The Superfly does - the Superduperfly has a fan fitted, which I don't remember ever coming on apart from at initial switch-on, and runs only mildy warm. andybassdoyle
F1 is pretty much silent. Fan is very small anyway so when it's on you just don't notice it, certainly not whilst playing. Not tried it in a recording situation though.
Owen
Thanks all. After all that I went and bought an AI which has no fan at all For the time being at least!
