Grunfeld Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 (edited) EDIT - 6 APRIL 2012 - Looks like we have a new bass player. Filled from this very forum as it happens. *** Hi all, New here. Our bass player has just got himself a job doing shifts so unfortunately he will have to quit the band by about mid-April. State of play is: we've got 34 gigs lined up until the end of the year (including NYE). Mostly Saturdays, a couple of Fridays. We have one weekend in four off (with a couple of exceptions). So roughly four gigs a month. Four piece band: singer, guitarist, drummer, bass player. We play in and around: Romford, Hornchurch; Walthamstow; Southend; Felixstowe The covers include a lot of the usual suspects plus an old-school Brit punk slant. No Mustang Sally -- ever. Songs include: Older Set List but still playing quite a few of these Stuff we've been adding this year Please let me know if you're interested in an audition*. We're in our 40's but the bassist who's leaving is 19 and joined when he was 17 -- so basically we don't mind about age; just if you can do the job and you think you'll have some fun doing it! We rehearse once a week. Currently have our own rehearsal space (which works out at £6.25 each per week), and you can leave your rig there (or often you can just use my bass rig which is sometimes stored there). So basically, minimal humping gear about for rehearsal. Oli * I'll check back daily but feel free to email: nakedapesbass.kornage AT a-bc.net Edited April 6, 2012 by Grunfeld Quote

Grunfeld Posted March 28, 2012 Author Posted March 28, 2012 Cheers Michael, It seems that today we've got a dep to cover the immediate future but we are still looking for someone who wants the position in the band. (Frank, I've had your PM and replied) Oli Quote
Graham Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 I suspect this is just too far to make it viable for me (I'd probably spend £20-30 a gig on petrol to those places from East Sussex) which is a real shame as those set-lists look like great fun. Let us know if you need another dep anytime though Quote
