In case any of you chaps in DB land never get into the General Bass area, there is a topic in there about Plux's first proper headlining gig with the Brighton Youth Big Band on db and electric bass.

Huge thanks to all those of you on this forum who have helped us with advice and more about db's, pickups etc etc. Its been completely invaluable.

The topic is Plux's first proper gig with the big band:-

You can hear the gig here:-

Cheers!

Both basses were going through a rather knackered old Hartke 410 'combo' for monitoring and then into the PA. Bass pickup is a K & K Bassmax, which 'just works' brilliantly.

Sound checking was minimal on the bass front (ie there was none) so it was a best guess after a line check and the first band went on.

I've doen a bit of work on the recording (as well as editing it) since I do love to make the best of things sonically. Havent changed anythign obvious though, its still very much the sound on the night.
