mcnach Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 (edited) £50 delivered. Great condition, with box, instructions etc. Input and output level controls. True bypass. Mix knob to blend dry bass and help retain definition and bottom end. This pedal is unusual in that it applies distortion only to the mids, where the Q is user-selected between a broad or a narrow band, and the centre frequency is selected with a dedicated knob. This allows for a very wide range of different tones. I have just sold my Darkglass B3K because I don't need this type of heavier distortion sounds anymore, and the Hyperdrive has t go for the same reason. Edited April 23, 2012 by mcnach
LiamPodmore Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 (edited) If it's still here on the 26th when i get paid i may take it. Heard this is lovely for a low-mid gain overdrive. Liam Edited April 17, 2012 by LiamPodmore
mcnach Posted April 17, 2012 Author Posted April 17, 2012 It is pretty versatile. Most demos I hear only focus on the higher gain sounds with lots of fizz, but it does much more. The fact that you can tweak with area of the midrange to apply overdrive to gives it a wide range of sounds. Select a higher frequency, and you get the fizz. Turn the frequency down, and you get fatter overdrive. I accumulate dirt boxes like crazy and it's time to rationalise the collection and get soem money back... otherwise I'd keep it.
hamfist Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 I'm tempted too, but no, no no, I have enough OD's already !!!
mcnach Posted April 17, 2012 Author Posted April 17, 2012 since when having too many of anything (pedals, basses...) was a reason not to buy another???
Dood Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 I'd like to hear one of these actually! I think it coupd be quite similar to how i set up my BSP.
Bigwan Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Have a look at the video of James Lomenzo using his pedal on YouTube. It convinced me!
