MXR M80 Bass DI switch question

Hi all,

I'm looking to make the distortion switch on the M80 remote.

However I'd rather not move it if it carries signal.

Looking at the wiring for the switch it doesen't but does anyone know for sure.

I've done this! I left the M80 in my rack system and had my effects unit switch it in and out as part of an effects patch change.

I need to have a look to remind myself which switch I 'paralleled' with. I think it was the 'effect on/off' switch. I didn't need to rewire the pedal at all. You simple wire whatever the external control will be in parallel with the footswitch. The button will still be operational but will need to be left in the 'off' setting for the remote action to work.

Glad someone else has the same idea as me!

P.s., no the signal doesn't go through the switch iirc. You can find the schem online :0)
