Late introduction

I've been using this forum and the predecessor or a while, but I've never introduced myself as I like to watch rather than post. I read the post about people using the "For Sale" facilities without introducing themselves and thought "That sounds like me". I like it here, so I thought I'd say hello.

I have more basses than talent. Current gig favourites are Rickenbacker C64, a Pino Precision and an upright electric. I play with Worcester-based Marina Del Ray.

I've sold a Rickenbacker here, a Takamine acoustic/upright (B10) and a Kydd Piccolo. On each occasion, I've not been in a particular to rush to sell and just left the posts out there. The Takamine and Kydd both sold to people who were looking for those specific instruments and found Basschat by using Google to search for those instruments. I like the idea that I can leave the adverts up until the right person comes around.
