Hello one and all!

I trust you're all well?!

Well... After 3 years together, the time has come to part ways with my beloved 1999 Rickenbacker 4003. As much as I love it, I have finally come to the conclusion that i'm definitely a Jazz Bass man and as such that's what I think I am going to be looking for.

She plays like absolute silk and sounds absolutely amazing, that classic Rickenbacker sound. It was set up approximately 9 months ago at KGB in Birkenhead and has played like a dream ever since.

Neck profile: The neck profile is medium, fast, it's not thin enough to be like a jazz bass, but not broad enough to be described precision bass.

Weight: 9.6lbs or 4.7kgs

However if it is a pristine example you're after, you're in the wrong place, this is a players bass, she's been used but not abused, certainly not by me.

She's got a few dings and a bit of buckle rash on front and back of body but thats to be expected with it's age, any majorly noticeable marks I have put in the photos attached, these mainly appear to be in the binding. But to be absolutely clear these were there before I bought the bass, again nothing that effects playability.

The switch doesn't hold properly in the neck position, works fine in Middle and Bridge position. This has never bothered me as I much prefer it in the bridge position pickup to get that ricky growl. But I should imagine it'll be about £20 to get repaired. To be fair since I have had this bass I have given nothing but TLC to this bass.

The case is as I received it, Official Rickenbacker, it is battered i'm afraid, feet have gone in one side (common problem I believe) but serves it's purpose in protecting the bass.

So what I am looking for.... Well....

Sale: Taking into account everything above I am looking for £950 ono and I'll include shipping in the price

Trades: A Fender USA Jazz Bass Deluxe (Either version pre 2010 or post), Fender 1975 AVRI Jazz, Fender USA Precision Deluxe, Lakland Hollowbody Bass or other decent Jazz Bass, Maybe at a push a US Standard Jazz or Musicman Sterling (plus a little cash adjustment).

Don't hesitate to drop me a line with any questions.

Tim

Kind offer sir, but I don't think that is quite what I am looking for, Those JV's are astonishingly good. Thank you though for your offer and good luck with your sale :-)

No there were over 15 watchers and a couple of offers mind! But nothing that appealed to me, I've reduced the price on here and decided not to relist it on there. So bump bump bump!
