Mikeg Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 (edited) Hey guys, first post in a while. Whilst browsing the interwebs, I found this deal on thomann, http://www.thomann.d..._200_bundle.htm It looks like a fantastic price, the general opinion of these amps seems very high, it will be replacing my trusty little marshal combo, and cant realy try one out. How would you guys describe the tone of the amp? Edited April 4, 2012 by Mikeg Quote
Lozz196 Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Not used the 200, but have got a 500. Tone-wise very clean and GK-ish really. It`s my first GK amp, but with a flat eq I get good Duff McKagan/Mike Dirnt tones from it, plus, for my other band, a bit of tweaking, plus turning off the tweeter in my cab, I can coax some warmer old-school rock tones from it. ThomBassmonkey Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 This vid seems a pretty good representation: Quote
