60's or 70's Valve Bass Amp - Do you know what this could be?

Hi all.

This unidentified amp has just turned up on local site. There are no markings to give you any clue of it's origin, other than that the speakers were made in Japan. Are there any vintage amp buffs out there that could possibly shed some light on this mysterious Amp Doe?

Here are some pics:

Back in the 70's you used to see kits of parts to build amplifers advertised in electronics magazines.
That faceplate looks very similar to those supplied with those kits.

Inside shots would be nice. The jewel light might be sort of desirable if it works. Probably gonna be better suited to guitar purposes. I'd pick it up if it was cheap, clean it and photo it for my blog. Doubt I'd use it.

The seller did say that it's not particularly powerful and more suitable for guitar than modern bass applications. However, one of the valves in the picture is missing. That might change things.

It's for sale for a fraction over a hundred quid, but I was more interested in trying to solve the mystery of the unidentified amp than buying as such (unless it was some super rare, ultra awesome amp, of course).

The kit theory makes sense.
