Dropzone
hi Gang I have carpet coming off my Mk 1 Barefaced compact. Is there any particular glue / method anyone would recommend to replace it? Thanks Mike
yorks5stringer
Why not ask Alex the manufacturer, he may even do it for you?!
Dropzone
Hadn't thought of that ;-) How cheeky can I be?

4 candles
If you ring a local carpet fitting company, they would/should reccomend a product they use surely personally I think that porridge is the best adhesive by far ( have you ever tried getting it out of the bowl, dried 24hrs later?) Dood
Standard carpet fitting spray glue is fine. You can pick it up from B&Q. Follow the instructions, couldn't be easier - I have a tin for such jobs, including coming back from holiday and finding that moggy had used my cabs as a scratching post! Grr! - Glued and looks as good as new (though the carpet could do with a bit of a 'going over' with a fuzz buster!!)

Dropzone
Thanks Dood, easier to pick up one of these than get it to Brighton and back, plus I bought it second hand so Alex has yet to directly have any of my cash yet. Please note the word yet ;-)
