gjones
Is this the one you had? This is the one I have which is very sturdy. Tribal Planet are now out of business so this will be old stock. Can't argue with £21 though for a good bag. lozbass
Take a look at my review in bigredx's thread - I've had pretty much all of the high end bags (igig, mono, protec contego, protection racket, posh warwick, madarozzo, fusion). Not sure if I mentioned the Fusion F1 in the previous thread - I had one very recently - semi-rigid and extremely light (moreso than the mono I think). Seems a good option though one reviewer has complained re durability (wear after months of pro daily use). Should fit a macbook. Igig are nice but very bulky and much too heavy for me (got rid). Still use a Mono - decent bag.
bassfunk
I've got one of these: http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Ulitimate_Bags_Stands.html Nice and light and plenty or protection etc, and the shoulder straps zip away. I prefer it to the Warwick luxury bags that I've had loads of problems with, and I have a Fender one which I have no confidence. I've seen Jakes Mono and it's really nice but double the price! So I guess it depends on your budget.
Ben Jamin
I've got a Mono M80 and it's great. I find it's a lot more comfortable than any other gigbag I've tried, and the build quality/protection is exceptional. You can remove the straps and tuck them away so that you've got a hardcase-type thing. My friend got an M80 a year before me and it's still in perfect condition - he even took it with him for a tour in Poland with no problems at all
gazhowe
I've just taken delivery of a Mono gig bag (single bass) and first impressions are that the build quality is top notch. I'll still be using a hard case for gigs but this will be ideal for rehearsals and jamming sessions when all I need to carry is a bass, lead & strap. Prime_BASS
I have the protec one, it's still in amazing condition considering it's been used and abused for the past 3 years, IT's been out the house at least twice a week most weeks. It gets chucked in the back of a grotty ford transit, where it gets stirred for 25 minutes to rehearsals, and another 25 minutes back. The bass always arrives safe and sound and still in tune, the front pockets or pretty huge, although I wouldn't want to put a laptop or anything liek that in there. I've only ever had trouble fitting a 22fret necked jazz bass in it, even still it's flexible enough to push it in. Another good thing is that the straps go pretty tight so it doesn't bump against my back while walking, I hate that so much. The best gig bag Ive had though is a warwick rockbag, amazingly light and very well padded, not as secure as the protec but still solid, the massive 'metal head' zips let it down though.
