TheButler
Ages ago now, I played through a TE 210 combo; the rig of a support band, when I was gigging. I know nothing of TE, their nomenclature could be quantum physics to me. I remember it had two huge ports, and sounded absolutely brilliant. Dunno if it was old or new. I ask because I played through one last night (again not a clue what it actually was, must ask its owner) and it rekindled my fondness. What was it/or could it have been? MB1
MB1. Did it have a Graphic eq? Could be a GP12 SMX 210T combo?
TheButler
It did indeed have an EQ I'll get googling 'n all. I can remember it having like a red ribbon or something round it too, but my lack of TE knowledge, I suppose they might all have that! For that matter, it could likely be one of several amps.. paul_5
Isn't the 'red stripe' series 5 or 6? That's considered a good thing around here.
TheButler
I can't find it via google images... starting to think i'm imagining it, of compiling it from several ideas of TE amps that I have in my head.
paul_5
sure it wan't this? post-8606-0-52607700-1326787126.jpg
TheButler
We have a winner. What the hell is it called!? Not that i'll remember.
paul_5
That'll make it something like a GP7 SM 300 7210H then.
Delberthot
I had a vinyl covered 7210H in the early 90s so this must be the slightly later carpet covered one. Lovely combo, I had it on top of a 1048H and laterally a 1153
TheButler
*woosh* I just remember it being distinctly very very nice. I'll keep my eyes peeled.
Lfalex v1.1
That'll make it something like a GP7 SM 300 7210H then.
Something like that. It's one later than my old 122h smx..
Wil
I had a GP7SM combo, 15" speaker version. Was a decent enough little workhorse until the amp's PCB cracked where it mounted to the chassis. I believe mine was a later one and had no red stripe. 4000
I always loved the old GP7 combos. Still, I always loved the old Trace gear. In fact with certain of my basses I've never come across anything I've liked as much. They're just too heavy to cart about these days. Davo-London
We use the GP7 15" combo at church. Great sound everytime. Davo
