Bassist677 Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 I've been browsing the little mark III heads for a while and found one on ebay which is rated at 600 watt.....In my research, I haven't seen one at 600 before and wonder if its standard (don't want to take an ebay risk!). The listing pictures the serial number tag on the rear of the unit and it says 600 watt with a date of 10/2011. Anyone running one that can give me some comfort. Cheers Quote
Musicman20 Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 That's not the output wattage. I've seen that on eBay as well. The LM3 is definitely 500W...the 600 probably refers to actual power used perhaps. Quote
DirkThrust Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 (edited) I think the 600w rating on the label is what it draws from the mains, not the output power. The LM2/3 are rated at 500w and actually chuck out about 440w. They've never made a 600w version Edited April 9, 2012 by DirkThrust Quote
Bassist677 Posted April 9, 2012 Author Posted April 9, 2012 My suspicions are correct then....thanks troops....anyone wanna buy a TC BG 500....lol Quote
Prime_BASS Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Yeah Ive seena few people advertise a few different markbass heads qouting 600w. Sent a few messages, even got told I was a liar and trying to cause trouble...........Even after a sent a link to markbass website proving I was right, and only tryuing to help. Quote
sykilz Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 You have to bear in mind that one I think you`re looking at on ebay is at one of those cash converter type places in Basildon,so they prob just looked at the back and saw 600w written next to the mains socket!! Quote
leroydiamond Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 yep. Its 500 watts into 4 ohms. They are bloody loud though!! Quote
xgsjx Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 My LMII is 500w @ 4Ω. 600w is the power consumption. I'm off to buy a 2000w hairdryer for the Mrs. Loud, but nowhere as loud as my LMII. Quote
