pantherairsoft
Cool little interview for you dubsteppy bass fans... PLEASE BE AWARE - MY WEBSITE IS NOW CLOSED. THE INTERVIEWS CAN NOW BE FOUND HERE -> http://simonpoulton.....com/sheponbass Michał is a Polish bass player involved in the emerging live electronica scene in Europe. Michał currently plays with Bubble Chamber - A relatively new live project who are already making a serious name for themselves on the live scene. The 3-piece create a dark and brooding style of Dubstep & Drum n' Bass which is seriously atmospheric stuff. Edit: I've made this thread sticky here in the Effects forum as a couple of you kind folk have PM'd me to ask why it's not sticky already. If anyone gets bored of seeing it up top of the forum let me know and I'll un-sticky it! Edited January 31, 2016 by pantherairsoft

pantherairsoft
Ahh, I've heard of Bubble Chamber before. Crazy weird stuff. I'd love to know what he's doing with the M9 though..
Yeah - They are pretty awesome. Just picked up a support slot with 'Peaches' as well I understand which is a pretty major gig for them. M9: Modulations mainly... plus the odd touch of Delay, Reverb and Compression I think. Beauty of the M9 is that is it very good at many things (hence the hordes of users and thread after thread of discussion). I've been thinking about getting one myself recently and replacing my 'Moog Modulation' line up (Ring mod - Phaser - Cluster flux)... truth is I'd heart broken and doubt I'd get much more out of it where modulation is concerned. EskimoBassist
Not to tempt you too much, but the M9 really IS that good IMO when it comes to the modulation/delay/reverb/pitch stuff. You should try and borrow one to have a good play around with and to see how it would fit within your set up. Would definitely help you condense things! pantherairsoft
I've had one in the studio for a few days... It's a great bit of kit and the way I'd go if I had too... But the flexibility I get from my current modulation and delay far out strips it. Yes it does other stuff... But I'm the way I currently use my set up its not for me. I'm sure I'll own one some day though!
pantherairsoft
Time for some glitchy, ambient craziness! PLEASE BE AWARE - MY WEBSITE IS NOW CLOSED. THE INTERVIEWS CAN NOW BE FOUND HERE -> http://simonpoulton.....com/sheponbass Luke Bhatia is a guitarist who plays everything from the bass lines up and is the man behind the noise with Manchester favorites, From The Kites of San Quentin. The Kites' have a made a real name for themselves on the the Electronica scene over recent years playing a signature combination of haunting ambience, solid grooves and well layered sound textures. They perform (generally) as a 3-piece combinations of Guitar, electronics & vocal yet have a full sound comparable to many a 4 or 5 piece Electronica act. pantherairsoft
It was bought to my attention that as this thread gets longer it may become harder to find the links to the interviews etc... So I have updated the opening post with all the links and each time a new interview is published in the thread I will add the link to opening post for the purpose of quick reference. A pioneer in Dubstep bass, but from a hard rock/metal background, he is the bass player for Pinn Panelle amongst other projects and is a name on the lips of many people involved in the world of live electronica.
