SpinalTap Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 This bass is sold, pending payement. Very nice bass, in great condition. Bought this one recently, but I'm not an unlined fretless player. There used to be a extra toneknob, but this has been restored by bass shop Bassmatters in The Netherlands. www.bassmatters.nl Comes with a nice case, and D-tuner. (original included.). Good condition. Some normal wear, but the fretboard looks very good. Price (firm): 2300,- euro's/ 1900,- GBP euro's ex. shiping. That is about 1000,- less than you would pay with a shop! Will consider partitial trades for an amp or cabinet. 112/ 210 etc. Bergantino, Aguilar, Genz Benz, or an Electric Upright. But prefer a straight sale. (picture from the previous owner, a real pre-EB collector)
SpinalTap Posted April 11, 2012 Author Posted April 11, 2012 Thanks for the pm's regarding (part.) trade offers. Prefer a straight sale, but will consider a nice fretted jazzbass (4 or 5 strings) for a straight trade. Sadowsky NYC, Celinder Alleva Copollo.
vax2002 Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012
Shame this stunner isn't fretted!
Have you hear the Fretless one ? Pino used this model most of his career, they sing like a bird.
SpinalTap Posted April 14, 2012 Author Posted April 14, 2012 After some extra hours of playing, and some good rehearsals, I'm gonna keep the bass. Love to play it, and the sound works great in my band. Thanks to anyone for showing interest in the bass.
SpinalTap Posted May 20, 2012 Author Posted May 20, 2012 This one is back up for sale. See what sells first: The Alembic, or this fantastic Stingray. Lower price: 2250,- euro's/ 1800,- GBP!
EBS_freak Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 When you say this has had an extra tone knob... does this mean the body has been drilled for a jack socket?
SpinalTap Posted June 4, 2012 Author Posted June 4, 2012 Thanks for your question. There are no extra holes (drilled) in the body. it has an extra hole next to the bass knob on the chrome plate. it is covered with a very small matching chrome pin. It is hard to see on the pictures, and when you see the bass in person. Pro job done by bassshop Bassmatters. All electronics are original, and rewired like it should.
SpinalTap Posted June 10, 2012 Author Posted June 10, 2012 Thought I had a seller for this, but not anymore.... Let's say 1700 GBP/ 2100,- euro's for this amazing rare fretless. That is far less than a EB Stingray Stingray 'Classic'.
SpinalTap Posted June 30, 2012 Author Posted June 30, 2012 Bump before the hollidays. Otherwise I'm gonna pull this from sale, for a while.
SpinalTap Posted June 30, 2012 Author Posted June 30, 2012 This bass is on hold for a few days for a basschatter!
SpinalTap Posted July 1, 2012 Author Posted July 1, 2012 ....And no longer on hold. Potential buyer backed out. Near offers will be considered.
SpinalTap Posted July 13, 2012 Author Posted July 13, 2012 This bass is sold - pending payement. Thanks!
