In praise of 'Axesrus' pickups!

Bought a very fab Sunn Mustang bass from Joe on here and whilst the bass played well, the sound was a bit anaemic.

£25 later for an Axesrus P Bass pickup and it's back - lively, powerful and everything a good P bass should be.

The pickup has waxed wire, alnico magnets and is even completely sealed and wax potted. Astonishing value for money!

Axesrus make decent kit. Ive bought a couple of their jazz wiring kits (passive and active versions) and they are well made and are great value for money.

Just ordered a jazz wiring kit but have been buying parts off them for ages. Got one of their pups in the front of one of the Teles and it's really good!

Ive got the wax-dipped P bass pickup in my precision. Like it so much i got rid of the wizard thumper and wizard Trad i had lined up to go in my other P bass projects

This is really good to hear - I've been buying parts from them for ages but never used their pups, and I've just acquired a strat that could really use some better pickups.

Who makes the axesrus pickups?

I had one of their pickups in a Tokai Les Paul (neck position). Sounded very nice indeed.

I dropped one of their full strat assemblies into an old Squier strat - improved it no end.

Think a lot of their pups are 'Artec' the wiring plans are from them

Are they magnetic polepieces, or a magnet on the bottom as i am seriously considering buying a set.

Just bought a set, and to let people know, its magnetic polepieces, no slug, so thats awesome. gonna install and try in a bit.
