Looking for Short Scale bass.

Having had a fight with some steps before christmas.. My left arm came out of it broken in a couple of places... Finding it difficult to play my long scale... so would consider any resonable to good quality short scale.

What's your budget? My choice will always be a Fender Mustang. The MIJ go for around £450, USA (only made 66-81/82) go for at least double.

Squier also now makes a version of the Mustang. Pretty cheap over here. I think they make several other short-scale basses as well.

'Reasonable' quality pretty much typifies Squier.

I have a MIJ Mustang, a Squier SS Jaguar and a danelectro longhorn - any of those would do the job, but the Fender mustang is streets ahead of the others.

I always forget about the Squier, which is also great. Squier do a Jaguar bass which is also very nice, there's a huge thread over on talkbass about it.
