After a brief email exchange the Black Limba Recurve has mysteriously morphed into this rather lovely J Type that will collected along with the Finn in a week or so. Mum's the word

NBD x2 today.

Just collected the Finn and the Dirty Ash J Type from Alan. Both beautiful in the flesh. Pics up in a day or so...

Rather foolishly tried the grunge black fretless too :gas:

Here you go, pics from Alan to wet the appetite. The Finn with the new SEQ is really good, so light too, and whichever muppet abandoned their order for the Dirty Ash J Type bass has missed out big time.

Sorry about the double hit ezbass, I'll go to confession on Sunday :(

It's entirely possible there may be a very sad farewell and an addition to the family (which sort of grew by one when I wasn't watching)...

OK fellow ACG lovers, new bass commissioned to replace the departed Dirty Ash one on the left. The spec will be:

Recurve 4 Custom spec
Body: Native Ash top on Alder body - Minimum lacquer finish
Neck: 3-piece Wenge (however you pronounce it)
Board: Wenge, fretted (still don't know how to pronounce it)
Pickups: 2 x RFB
Electronics: ACG EQ03 5k
Other bits: Detuner on E string, black hardware, luminlay position dots on the side, ACG custom bridge

I did casually mention to Mrs ead that having sold a bass a replacement might be sought, but Mum's the word people

In other news: Having spend a while trying to find a Jazz bass I like (but to no avail) I have commissioned an ACG 'Jazz' bass with all the bits I like. More on this story later...
