flippyfloop Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 (edited) Hi, I'm selling my mint, 3 week old Overwater Scott Devine Bass. Some info here http://overwaterbass...tt-devine-bass/ I've added a few custom options ------------------- 26 fret Brass Nut 17mm spacing. ------------------- This bass is as new. No marks, dents, etc..... Truly stunning instrument both in feel & sound. Get a brand new instrument without the wait. With the custom options, would cost £2,700. Note - The scale length is 33in ( like all Scott Devine basses ) Car died, otherwise I would keep the bass :-( Some pic's ( will post more soon ) & a crappy pic of the back under my kitchen lights. Came out looking far to yellow but you get an idea of the wood grain. May consider a trade plus cash for Genz Benz Streamliner 600 / 900. Edited June 25, 2012 by flippyfloop
sockdeluxe_mikey Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Sorry to read that you're having to sell this already! What's happened to your car if you don't mind me asking? Is it something terminally wrong?
TheGreek Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Losing £700 on a 3 week old bass?? That must really hurt!!
flippyfloop Posted April 17, 2012 Author Posted April 17, 2012 Car will live again. Just need lots of things replacing, tires, brakes, battery..... plus insurance & road tax due. Wish I didn't need to drive to gigs.
flippyfloop Posted April 17, 2012 Author Posted April 17, 2012 I ordered the bass while Overwater offered a discount so not losing to much at this price. Would be higher otherwise.
flippyfloop Posted April 19, 2012 Author Posted April 19, 2012 Bump
flippyfloop Posted April 23, 2012 Author Posted April 23, 2012 Put a set of DR's on this yesterday. I use DR's on all my basses & it has pushed the bass up a fair few levels for me. Probably a mistake as I will be even more gutted to see it go. Gonna be working hard to avoid selling this.
BassMan94 Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 Does It Guarantee that you'll play like Scott ?
flippyfloop Posted April 25, 2012 Author Posted April 25, 2012 Further price drop. Now £1,800. May consider trades if I still see some cash on top. 4 string fretless / Super jazz 4 fretted or fretless ( Sadowsky / Xotic / Fender Deluxe / Overwater, etc )
andybassdoyle Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Don't do it! There must be another way! Noooooo!

flippyfloop Posted April 26, 2012 Author Posted April 26, 2012 Tell me about it, nooooooo indeed. I saved for quite a while to get a 33in & then life kicks me in the balls.
flippyfloop Posted May 24, 2012 Author Posted May 24, 2012 Some people have asked about the weight. My scales say 9.4 lbs.
flippyfloop Posted May 27, 2012 Author Posted May 27, 2012 Now on eBay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160810094090#ht_814wt_1141
Cairobill Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 Scotts walkthrough of the bass and demo might be of interest to prospective buyers. I was a gnats away from ordering one myself. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MdN1s49s-l4
