alanw Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 HI. CAN ANY ONE ADVISE ME ON THE 50th ANNIVERSARY MODEL I OWN. I WOULD LIKE TO SELL IT, BUT I DONT KNOW WHAT ITS WORTH. IT HAS A FEW SMALL CHIPS ON THE SIDE, AND ONE BY THE PICKUP. THANKS Quote
bubinga5 Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 what did you pay for it... was it brand new when bought, second hand? Quote
jezzaboy Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 A pic would help. Is that the red one with the neck binding and blocks? Jez Quote
Conan Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 It's worth about £300. And I'll have it thanks Remember though, the market is in a rather depressed state at the moment, so whatever its "book value" might be, you could well struggle to get anywhere near that if you choose to sell Quote
paulmcnamara Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 If in good condition I would probably start it at about £850.00. Selling is difficult at the moment and the market will decide if the price is too high, or toon low for that matter. Anniversary models do carry a little bit of extra interest but cannot assure a good deal for the seller. Good luck with your sale. One last thought: try a search of completed listings on ebay to see if anythings comes up..... might be a guide. Paul. Quote

OliverBlackman Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 we need to know what it is. It could either be the recent red one, which retailed at £1800. Or is it one made in 1996 where its just got a thing on the back of the headstock that says "50th anniversary". If its the latter then its not worth anymore than £600 because there were thousands made and £5-600 is the going rate for s/h american fenders. Quote
alanw Posted April 19, 2012 Author Posted April 19, 2012 (edited) Thanks to everyone, its the red one made between 2009 - 2010 from the fender corona plant, according to the serial number check. Edited April 19, 2012 by alanw Quote
